matching is overrated.

If only it didn't breach confidentiality agreements
I'd show y'all my new work work and how MANY
mismatched chairs are in these spaces.

So before you symmetrical geeks
get all over my ass about this, here's some
giggle worthy images for you to chew over.

Such a perfect way for those that are like me
and can't decide on anything to make
their cute little space look -- cute.

inescapable of the blue & yellow.

Sooooooooo... having finally felt (relatively)
settled back at home I realized that my room
has looked the same way since I've been.... 6.

Not that I have a severe issue of the overcrowding
aided by my stuffed animals.
But I felt like maybe its time for a face lift.
&& in the midst of my search for ideas....

I adddoreee that combo of blue and yellow.
joyousness ftw.
Constructed to show the bare bones of the space, this
home was nothing but a simple canvas for the unique
furniture and goodies collected all over the world
by the designer, Mikel Irastorza.

“I look mostly for things with a past —things that tell a story —
and also for items from my favorite designers.”

Mmmmm.....
The only resemblance of that to my room-- hardwood flooring.

Truthfully, I don't have the heart to orphan my stuffed bundles of joy...
There must be a better way.

dotted. snip. out.

So I moved in (my stuff... aka lack of unpacking) into my new downtown home
2 days ago. I've been trying to figure out what other fun
quirky things I could do to the place....

THIS seems like the:
cutest / rather inexpensive / easy-to-rip-off way
to quirk out my room...

Wall stickers seem to be the new inexpensive home spunk ingredient.
This being a bajill times more flexible than your traditional Disney Character
or Sunflower, personalization is about 432879x easier.

Each set comes with 33ft of dotted lines & 4 scissors.
(all vinyl stickers, reusable + removable! [ecofriendly fun])

So take this 33ft of goodness & explore the world!!!!

...now if only we can dot the things in life
we don't want and cut that out too.... hmmmmm

19th century b&w.

2 late nights + 6 En Massers = 1 charming little cafe.

Galleries, picturesque streets, boutiques all within a 19th century looking
neighbourhood houses this newly re-spunked out cafe in the heart of 'Old Montreal'

EN MASSE is a non-profit organization that finds up and coming Montreal
artists to collaborate on various design things. (generally their ginormous & spontaneous b+w murals & public installations)
I absolutely ADORE this style.
This Japanese street art, hip hop, funk, mural-ish things.
En Masse reminds me of Japanese art group Rinpa Eshidan [vidlink]

Now if i ever go to Montreal this is a MUST visit spot.
Just like if I ever get a chance to I want to go to the 'Tokyo Bar' in Manhattan
