type binge #5: Words can fly a thousand miles

Inspired by origami paper cranes
comes this 3d Typographic poster.
I'm dying.

On a side note, is it creepy that I'm mentally
modelling this in SketchUp right now?
I don't think that's normal.

type binge #4: type and tear.

Who knew that vintage books could do so much more
than just smell fantasticularrrrr?!

(Don't lie, y'all are totally guilty of shoving your nose into
the spines of those old baby-sitters club novels)

Outdated dictionaries, encyclopedias & history text

... I think this is much better of an application than actually reading them... just sayin'

ctrl-t my vision.

bold. and italicised.

I'm sitting here and my body is in italics.
The universal (if u will) graphic lingo of fonts used in the alteration and the highlighting of an interior space.

GOAL: To spark attention of the Bauhaus students. To have them appreciate the parallel nature of the building that they probably speed walk through everyday.

Inspiration: The already tilted architecture.

Execution: All white everything (hehe. if u caught my rip) to emphasize form not font.

typically speaking, everything slanted looks much cooler than those not. any one else in love with those oddly slanted cups @ ikea? ya. that shiznet. gunna be all over my (future) apartment.

wordart.

Suddenly remembering my Grade 11 Consumer Design class I just got a whoof of the obsessive times we went through doing typography.
Slash. I think I found something a few RSIDs can smile about ;)

These are the prototypes which are made from lacquered MDF. Ideally when mass produced they'll be using a LDPE plastic moulding technique instead therefore usable outdoors and in.
