This once was firehouse has been transformed into
a productivity house for digital media company
Black Ocean. 

Space planned to function as a communal workspace with
a variety of scenarios including back courtyard, rooftop terrace and
ample amount of seating for you and your fave work pals.

The black exterior matches the name alright

but don't judge a space by its exteriors. 

The pristine white walls with wood accents and quirk
elements turn this old firehouse into a light and bright powerhouse.

 

Great neon accent next to the geometric window treatment.

1600 pandas.

Second Hong Kong post in a week. 

I think I need to go back again. 

Hong Kong's harbourfront has always been a stage and space
for gallery exhibitions & fun installations.  

This time however, we have 1600 pandas
all made out up recycled paper sprinkled all over the
Hong Kong's International Airport Arrival hall. 

This large display was a not so discreet message to spread
awareness and hopefully spark actual action from the people
to help save endangered bear species. 

Not only unique to Hong Kong this is actually part of the
1600 Panda World Tour
1600 is also not a random number as according to the WWF
there are actually only SIXTEEN HUNDRED wild pandas left.

Let keep these cuties alive.

Organizers said that there will essentially be 

"flash mobs of pandas" engulfing various Hong Kong landmarks. 
Amongst these will probably be the Victoria Harbour, Shatin racecourse
and even rumored to be on some of the trams.

The video below even shows these little buggers "arriving" HKG.

Now a tradition, Budapest has winter holiday trams.

I know that we're still quite a few months away from
the festive holiday season, but who can say no to a
tram that looks like its traveling through time?!

With the fare of just a regular ride,
this twinkling transport is a budget friendly piece of magic.

 

We can't bank on the TTC ever being this fun.
But it would sure help gain some brownie points
for all the grief they give us on the regular.

Any article that features Hong Kong in any capacity

attracts my immediate attention. Not only because
Hong Kong relates to me as home but also because
through all my travels,
no other city has been more fascinating.

You can practically smell the culture, the crafts, and the undeniable
ants-like dedication in engrained in so much of its population.

As a child, I remember getting off the plane and knowing immediately
that I was in Hong Kong: the tunnels, the chatter and
the bright neon lights radiating the streets.

NEONSIGNS.HK
is an online exhibit that's dedicated to the iconic pieces
that made/make Hong Kong. With LED replacements and
new regulations abandoning them due to light pollution this

online exhibition documents the city's fingerprints of neon lights
in an attempt to preserve the feeling of this city's urban landscape.

How can an old craftsman, in a world where their art is diminishing
NOT pull on all of your heartstrings.

Launched by M+ Museum this is their 7th mobile project using
the power of crowd sourcing to complete a collection that
would otherwise be terribly difficult to capture.
