matching is overrated.

If only it didn't breach confidentiality agreements
I'd show y'all my new work work and how MANY
mismatched chairs are in these spaces.

So before you symmetrical geeks
get all over my ass about this, here's some
giggle worthy images for you to chew over.

Such a perfect way for those that are like me
and can't decide on anything to make
their cute little space look -- cute.

knick knack chic.

In the midst of redo-ing my room and saving it from its sad
"I'm-totally-meant-for-a-6-year-old" state.
I have come across quite a few old pieces,
a certain amount of junk,
and a whole bunch of odds & ends i dont know what to do with.
The beauty of electic randomness.
Now something like THIS takes quitteee an eye to put together :)
Fashionable, authentic & gothic.
3 bomb characteristics for El Born (La Ribera)
a small little in Barcelona
(onnnnly the best place in the world)

This neighbourhood is the comparable to the
SoHo
of New York City.

The boho like ambience can make any back packer estatic
stumbling upon its cute eclectic existence.

Yolanda Vilalta && Helena Jauma (owners) wer
inspired by the 2 tables that came with the establishment
prior to any sort of renovation and quickly transformed
the empty space into a place that is a:
eclectic home meets Saint Germain bistro
with a dash of coffee time social interaction of Istanbul.
Toooootally wish I knew about his place back in May...
It would have made Barcelona yet ANOTHER notch more awesome...
...
I didn't even think that was possible!!!!

a 1970s italy.

Finally uploading the last of my Europe albums.
I miss that place more than anything.

Looking for (yet again) more ideas for the room,
I now rummage across a 1970s Italian styling.

Opposite of the typical minimal Swedish design,
the stylist's fascination with Interior Deco is now
transforming clients lkea, H&M, John Lewis and NK
to houses of vintage, texture and intrigue.

Please await for the table that caused me one of the
largest eye-gasms this summer.

H&M is taking the world by storm.

Forget just styling YOU, but it's about to style the places you reside too.
&&golly, they're doing a pretty darn fantastic job of it.

Too bad I can't get anything off these images except inspiration.
Sucks for me H&M Home is only in the UK & i know no one that
would pay all that courier to get these goodies to me *tear*

Sorry folks, us North Americans are just going to have to deal
the one and only budget option we have -- IKEA.

I'm digging this whole industrial interior thing,
I wonder how I can replicate this in my own room without
my super Asian mother
(who may i mention is maddddddly in love with beige & neutrals)
to agree to this...

P.S. This ain't INTERIOR DESIGN, its INTERIOR STYLING.
kthx.

inescapable of the blue & yellow.

Sooooooooo... having finally felt (relatively)
settled back at home I realized that my room
has looked the same way since I've been.... 6.

Not that I have a severe issue of the overcrowding
aided by my stuffed animals.
But I felt like maybe its time for a face lift.
&& in the midst of my search for ideas....

I adddoreee that combo of blue and yellow.
joyousness ftw.
Constructed to show the bare bones of the space, this
home was nothing but a simple canvas for the unique
furniture and goodies collected all over the world
by the designer, Mikel Irastorza.

“I look mostly for things with a past —things that tell a story —
and also for items from my favorite designers.”

Mmmmm.....
The only resemblance of that to my room-- hardwood flooring.

Truthfully, I don't have the heart to orphan my stuffed bundles of joy...
There must be a better way.

bring on the poisonous apple.

Forget the toxins of a poisonous apples.

Devouring this amount of sweet delights will
probably kill the 2011 girl. The explosive feelings
she will get from ooooooooozing out of her jeans are bad enough
to make one wanna slap themselves silly.

p.s. jeans are theeeeee new enemy.
